Trained as an Educational Anthropologist and organizational consultant, Rosemarie specializes in qualitative methods, curriculum and instruction, and educational systems. She has experience conducting educational ethnographies, case studies, and rich contextual analyses in a variety of settings. Her work has taken her all over the United States, Europe, and Asia. Dr. Mincey conducted extended research in rural Appalachia, examining the relationship between literacy and factory work. She has also conducted evaluations of adult literacy programs, including longitudinal work with the National Center for the Study of Adult Learning and Literacy at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

In her free time, she enjoys Nashville’s amazing music scene, traveling, and artistic expression.
